Entry Regulations:
Competitors must submit an audition tape and upon approval, must be pre-registered to compete in the Lyrics for Life competition. 

The performance order in both semi-finals and finals will be determined by blind draw. The semi-finals will consist of each competitor singing one song. Competitors may sing acappella (no musical accompaniment), with a pre-recorded background, or with the musical instrument of your choice. Six finalist will be chosen after semi-finals round is complete. 

The six finalists will perform two songs each. In the finals, competitors will each sing one song before the order is repeated for the second song. The song you perform in the semi-finals may be repeated in the finals at your discretion.

Medals will be awarded to first, second, and third to Division 1 and Division 2 athletes.

Sport Guidelines: 
1. If you need background tracks, there are a number of sources available on-line. One site recommend is  Tracks are $1.99 each for standard arrangements, $2.99 for custom arrangements (your choice of instrumentation and key).
2. Background tracks must be on thumb drive, CD, or downloadable mp3. They should be clearly marked with your name and contact info along with the song name in order to avoid confusion. 
3. Musical instruments should have an XLR or 1/4" output.

Once an event is completed and results are available, Lyrics for Life staff must record all competitors and times/scores to the appropriate system/documents. When electronic scoring is being utilized a manual backup system must be in place to record results.

When available, during the course of competition, sports directors may post results (identified as preliminary) for public and competitor review. 

Upon conclusion of the day’s competition, sports directors must submit final results for each event. Manual documents must be signed and dated by the appropriate staff member. Results will be reviewed for accuracy and posted in the TGA Village.
